NANCY REYNER
Encaustic Effects with Acrylic

Beginner to Advanced

Acrylic is so versatile it can easily imitate other mediums. Nancy will teach how to replicate the beautiful looks & finishes of encaustic (wax) painting using acrylic paints, gels and mediums instead of wax!  Techniques include: experimental sheens, washes, staining, poured layers, embedded objects, transferred photographic images, glazing, textural gels, & new reflective interference paints, all guaranteed to offer powerful new directions for your work.
Nancy Reyner has more than 30 years of painting experience.  She received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Columbia University.  She now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Selected for a two year residency for the Phoenix Center in Arizona, she exhibited curated, taught, and produced new work. Now a technical consultant for Golden Artist Colors, Inc., Nancy’s new book, Acrylic Revolution, Northlight Publishers, contains over 100 acrylic painting techniques.
